- These are a natural product and each and every pod is unique. These seed pods range from 3-5" and can be more curvy or straight, depending on each one.
Elephant Ear pods are one of the larger seed pods that we carry! They are perfect for bigger reptile and amphibian enclosures for decorative interest and for freshwater fish tanks to add hiding and grazing areas for shrimp due to these being great media to grow micr-bacteria on. Our isopods use them as hides in their enclosures and nibble on them a a food source.
We recommend that before adding them to your black water or shrimp tank, to boil them for a minimum of 15 minutes to help with them sinking and to jump start tannin production.
