"Rubber ducky, you're the one" - Ernie from Sesame Street. We all know the song and often find our selves singing or humming it around these guys. These isopods do well in a setup with at least 3" of substrate and a heavy calcium source (limestone, cuttlebone, eggshells will do fine).
Treat them like very expensive vegetable plants- offer nutritious substrate, additions such as shrimp meal, bat guano, and rotten wood. They also benefit from occasionally offering vegetable slices. As a cave species, they should have good air flow, so substantial ventilation is a must and a dead space for air to move that is about 2".
They need hides to crawl up off the ground, and utilize cardboard egg crates and bark whenever offered. Due to the sensitive nature of Cubaris, any orders out of the state need to be shipped overnight.
