Named for its beautiful black and white markings, the Panda King is a smaller variety of Cubaris. It is an excellent producer and thrives quite easily, being one of the simpler Cubaris to keep.
These small isopods like to burrow in substrate that is moist and has bat guano sprinkled in it. We notice our Panda Kings are somewhat diurnal, meaning we observe them above the substrate in the early morning and late evening hours.
We feed these isopods a diet of fish flakes, dried shrimp, vegetables such as zucchini and squash, along with bat guano powder. This is another Cubaris species that benefits from more calcium so we make cuttlebone and limestone rock available in their enclosures.
