- Culture of 10 isopods.
- Does well in an semi- arid environment with temperatures ranging from 70- 80F.
One of our larger Armadillidium species, the Sandstone is an industrious isopod. They are rough feeling and range from grey to a tan color, similar to actual sandstone! While these isopods do like semi arid environs, they do need a distinct moisture gradient and plenty of calcium. Add with caution in to a terrarium, as they do have molting issues if in too much humidity and they have been known to eat dying or soft plant material. While these do have larger sized broods, they can be infrequent.
These Armadillidium are in the middle of being re- identified, which is exciting.
