- Culture of 10 isopods
These are arguably our largest Armadillidium species that we currently keep, growing up to 2 centimeters. The gestroi is a fairly active isopod, though they like to hide until their population has grown in numbers. They prefer a semi arid enclosure, similar to their native France. These isopods need a moisture gradient and a significant calcium course.
One should not house them with plants, as they have been observed eating our pothos and moss. They do readily eat romaine lettuce though, along with other isopod favorites like Repashy, fish flakes, carrot, sweet potatoes and zucchini.
